Lapis Lazuli is a precious Blue Stone which found in Mesopotamia in the present day Iraq. The archeologists also found the statue remnants of their Gods and Goddesses . The distinct blue color is placed against Gold or Copper. The blue eyes, blue eye brows and blue hair was noticed in those deities of historical time archives.

The ancient civilizations of "Indus Valley" and "Mohenjo-daro Harappa" always fascinated the writer.
The Mohenjo-daro is present day Pakistan. Despite close collaboration with Mesopotamia, Harappa did not adopt the cuneiform script, or its obsession with grand monuments and tombs. Harappans probably imported Bitumen and Wool which were used by them.
The iridescent blue stone known as "lapis lazuli" traveled its way from Afghanistan to down the Indus River Valley to cities of "Harappan" civilization. The uncut Blue Stone would be turn into beads and shipped to ancient Mesopotamia and thence to Egypt.
Lapis Lazuli is not found in Egypt, nor in Mesopotamia. It is found in far-away Afghanistan.

Lapis Lazuli was found not in Mesopotamia but in Afghanistan from there to Levant (Israel) and then to Mesopotamia.
