A harbinger is a person or thing that announces or signals the approach of another.

 

Harbingers are something that foreshadows a future event: something that gives an anticipatory sign of what is to come. robins, crocuses, and other harbingers of spring.

 

The Rain nourishes the plants and trees and flowers and fields, it gives life to the flora and fauna and also it dies by showering itself over the fields.

A harbinger in general may signal something negative, such as a black cat crossing one's path as a sign of impending bad luck.  Harbinger in general is something that shows the doom.  

 

Black cats, broken mirrors, or spilled salt all are considered as bad omen.

Ketu is considered responsible for moksha, sannyasa, self-realization, gnana, a wavering nature, restlessness, the endocrine system and slender physique.
