The outdated fashion is replaced with new innovations and the world is captivated in its orbit.
Fashion is a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body piercing, tattoos, or furniture. Fashion is a distinctive and often habitual trend in how a person dresses. It is the prevailing style in behavior and the newest creations of textile designers. Because the more technical term costume is regularly linked to the term "fashion", the use of the former has been relegated to special senses like fancy dress or masquerade wear. In contrast "fashion" generally means clothing, including the study of it. Although aspects of fashion can be feminine or masculine, some trends are androgynous.

A Beauty Pageant is a competition in which the entrants, usually women, are judged as to physical beauty and sometimes personality and talent, with the winners awarded prizes or titles. We know that there are national beauty pageants in India and the winners will represent the country in international beauty contests. The contestants are in the age group of 20-24 years. Many Indian girls have won international beauty pageants such as Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss Earth titles.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sushmita Sen, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Lara Dutta, Diana Haydon, Yukta Mookhey, and Manushi Chillar to name a few contestants who won the world titles.

The definition of beauty was written large on her petite face. She was indeed an Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of Beauty. The writer had the privilege of meeting her in person when she visited the Godrej Empire’s headquarters at Vikhroli, Mumbai campus. She looked serene and pious, apart from a stunning beauty. It was Mumbai’s dazzling socialite and well-known celebrity party host, the incomparable Ms. Parameshwar Godrej, behind the Godrej Miss World 1996 Pageant. She co-chaired the event with the founder of the Miss World Pageant, Ms. Julia Morley. The Miss World pageant is the oldest major international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951. Since he died in 2000, Morley's widow, Julia Morley, has co-chaired the pageant. Ms. Godrej, the woman who single-handedly put India on the global map, is ably supported by Mr. Amitabh Bachchan’s ABCL. Lakme Fashion Week 2025: Celebs on the ramp -
Lakmé Fashion Week X FDCI is a bi-annual fashion event that takes place in Mumbai and Delhi. Mumbai summer March 2025 and Delhi winter October 2025.
FDCI stands for Fashion Design Council of India.
The last year Fashion Week was marked by dazzling appearances by several Bollywood celebs. While some took to the ramp to become showstoppers for designers, others attended the event as special guests.
Lakme Fashion Week 2025
To celebrate 25 years of Lakme Fashion Week, its organisers have planned interesting things like presenting a line up of 100 designers, including those by 21 debutantes.
“We are excited about this season as we celebrate 25 years. There will be a mix of established and new designers. We want to redefine fashion with ace designers and encourage new talent too” Purnima Lamba, Head Innovations Lakme, told reporters.
Lamba said there will be 100 designers this season, including 21 debut designers, adding that 11 new models will walk on the ramp at this year’s gala.
Ace Indian designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla will open Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive and designer Gaurav Gupta will present the Grand Finale collection at an off-site location.
Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Anita Dongre, Rohit Bal, Ritu Berry, Bhanu Athaiya, Silailor, Masaba Gupta, Anamika Khanna and Wendell Rodricks are some of the other Indian designers.
Established designers like Manish Malhotra, Ritu Kumar, Tarun Tahiliani, Neeta Lulla, Narendra Kumar, and others will showcase their “best-ever” collection.
I was thinking about the subject for my next Blog post and suddenly thought of Fashion which merits a special mention in JOHNNY’S BLOG.
