ALAS! IT'S CRAZY, STUPID, LOVE AND EUPHORIA
Crazy, Stupid, Love is a 2011 Warner Bros. Hollywood blockbuster movie starring handsome prince charming Ryan Gosling and stunningly beautiful Emma Stone in the lead roles. The lead pair’s onscreen chemistry is awesome. Emma Stone won numerous awards for her role in the movie, and Ryan Gosling was nominated for several awards, including a Golden Globe Award for best actor. It is a smart, sophisticated Rom-com drama. If you like romantic comedies, then you will love this movie.
Before the synopsis of the movie, a few thoughts of mine on romantic love. A handsome pay packet from a decent corporate job, well-accomplished kids and a wife who is a high school sweetheart or a college mate - from best friends to partners in life - could be a dream come true for anybody. But in this case, love becomes sour after he learned that his partner is cheating on him and has an adulterous affair.

It is said that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. Similarly, real age is determined by the mindset of a person. The protagonist in this film is a forty-plus debonair who wants to reinvent love after giving the much-needed divorce to his wife.
Falling in love is a great and beautiful feeling. The love pair with the handsome, dashing features is often destined to fall in love. The twinkle in the eyes and glow on the face make falling in love a dazzling and delightful experience. This is different from routine life. The desire to consummate the passion leads to a dream world scenario.
It is a blessing that cherished moments do happen in one’s life. To experience the feeling of living in a paradise or heaven is, of course, a blessed moment in life. If you are attracted to a person, you take notice of even minor things about that person and develop a keen interest in making him or her happy.
“Puppy love is often unaware of its aftereffects. That is when a person truly needs parental guidance and the wisdom behind arranged marriages. Our parents and relatives usually find a suitable partner after considering factors such as social standing, financial security, family background, emotional stability, and personality traits. A handsome, well-educated groom or a beautiful bride with good character—like the wholesome heroines of Rajshree Pictures, the quintessential ‘girl next door’—and someone financially secure and well settled in life, often receives priority in marriage proposals."
A person’s talent and other histrionics often result in developing a fascination towards that person. The personality truly attracts towards him or her, often resulting in love.
In a country like India the arranged marriages have been finding the most success ratio. Money may not be the key factor for persons in love, but for a successful marriage, financial stability is a much-needed shot in the arm to last the euphoria.
“In most epic love stories, the lover’s financial status becomes the invisible barrier that turns passion into tragedy. Love dares to rise above wealth and class, but too often, the world reminds us that even the purest affection must contend with the harsh economics of life.”
The euphoria you expect after tying the nuptial knot seldom proves ecstatic. The excitement and happiness out of a wedlock resulting from romantic love of an imbalanced financial background of the couple, likely to end in trouble after the initial blind, crazy, stupid love. Otherwise, a will to accept and adjust the dream and desires in life is a much-needed adrenaline shot.

When I Met You, I Found Life…
Having examined the pros and cons of love affairs in real life, let us now turn our attention to what the movie has in store for us — how it portrays the complexities of love, desire, and partnership on screen.
The film's duration is 1 hour and 58 minutes, and it was a blockbuster hit when it was released worldwide in 2011. The movie had a production cost of $50 million and has grossed over $142 million at the box office. The movie had a casting coup with a fantastic actor line-up of dream cast, which made it successful.
Cal Weaver (Steve Carell) is a middle-aged man who learns that his wife Emily (Julianne Moore) cheated on him with a co-worker, David Lindhagen (Kevin Bacon), and that she wants a divorce. After moving into his own apartment, Cal goes to a bar night after night, talking loudly about his divorce, until he attracts the attention of a young man named Jacob Palmer (Ryan Gosling), a womaniser who beds women each night, although a young woman named Hannah (Emma Stone) recently had rejected his advances. Jacob takes pity on Cal and offers to teach him how to pick up women. Using Jacob's teachings, Cal seduces Kate (Marisa Tomei) at the bar. After this encounter, Cal manages to successfully seduce other women in the bar. He sees Emily again at their son Robbie's (Jonah Bobo) parent-teacher conference. The interaction goes well until they discover that Robbie's teacher is Kate, who reveals to Emily that she and Cal slept together. Cal then confesses to sleeping with many women. Emily leaves in disgust and begins actively dating David. Meanwhile, Hannah, a recent law school graduate, is expecting her boyfriend, Richard (Josh Groban), to propose marriage while they celebrate her passing the bar exam, but he does not; instead offers her a position at his law firm. Offended and hurt, Hannah returns to the bar where she originally rejected Jacob's advances and kisses Jacob passionately. The two return to Jacob's home to hook up, but end up talking to each other all night and making a connection. Jacob starts a relationship with Hannah, and he becomes distant from Cal.
The movie when it was on the editing table was over 3 hr duration and was trimmed to 1 hr 58 minutes. Though after the release of the movie many in the audience wished the movie could have been longer.
